Transaction: A record of value of transfer on a blockchain. Includes details like sender, receiver, amount, and fees. Transactions are visible on block explorer like Solscan.

Consensus Mechanism: The process through which blockchain participants agree on the validity of transactions (e.g., Proof of Work with mining, Proof of Stake with staking).

Mining: Process of validating and adding transactions to a blockchain by solving complex problems and ensuring network security and consensus while earning rewards, typically in cryptocurrency.

Staking: Locking up cryptocurrency in a blockchain to participate in transaction validation and network security, with participants earning rewards, typically in the form of additional cryptocurrency.

Validator: A participant responsible for validating transactions and securing the blockchain.

Gas Fee: The transaction fee paid to blockchain miners or validators to confirm transactions.
